If we pretend to have a government totally to the service of the
people, only as a regulator or an umpire, a government which holds
only basic services like the Army, Police Corpse, Civil Defense,
Customs, Water and Sewer, Mail Delivery Service, Public Health and
Education, all of them well supervised by civic society, through
mechanism that will have to be determined, with the objective to
control their efficiency and avoid corruption. With these points
of view we want to establish the fact that we are for a free market
economy. The Productive sectors of society need the market itself
to guide the economy and its prices, without the intervention of
the government, except for moments of crisis, The State has to enforce
laws and codes and establish social stability, this matter being
of utmost importance for a continuous development, the rest is just
matter of time and effort from our people in the production process,
and in this effort we will be shoulder to shoulder with the people.
In our economical proposal the starting point would be to turn private
all productive entities in hands of the government, avoiding chaos
and giving priority in every case to active workers in production
and services sectors of productivity. This is to implement some
justice and give them a portion back of what they have worked for
in the last forty five years of ruthless exploitation and alienation
of their basic rights. In an later stage a different dynamic will
be given to the economy based on the doings of men and women of
the people and their entrepreneurship, They will have to test themselves
and compete with external and internal factor. We expect competition
to jumpstart the economy and improve the quality of production and
services, aspects of high impact in the development of the economy.
With the objective to give guarantees to everyone involved in the
process of saving to create an investing capital, and here are some
magic words to evolve as a country, provide stability and safety
to foreign investors and to international financial institutions.
We should embrace prosperity we should realize that nothing will
be more absurd than the communist regime governing, we should name
US dollar our official currency and then we will have a safe currency
and be able to create solid financial relations domestic as well
as international. Let's take a look at Latin America and the third
world in general and observe the monetary problems they confront.
Let's take a look at the huge benefits the European Union have had
after adopting the Euro as a common currency. If we create a solid
state of law and a trusted and efficient judiciary environment that
sets at ease the investors and we add the spirit of entrepreneurship
of our people, brave, ambitious, competitive, all those necessary
characteristics to improve a national economy, one that will need
hard work and efforts to increase productivity. None of our proposal
we consider them to be innovative or anything of the like, all this
is based on the economical experience of all the people all around
the globe, all of them seeking for a better life and seen in the
different contexts in all different countries.
In order to illustrate
our ideas we will set an example, it may need to be polished by
experts in the matter, but we consider it necessary, since our people
need education in these topics, we will try to put it in the simplest
of ways to make it comprehensible.
Taking into account
that all entities of production and services are in hands of the
government, they should be transferred to the National Bank of Cuba
to be appraised and sold.
In our reality, let's
take a hotel built by the regime. A Special Committee at the bank
will appraise it. The workers of this Hotel will be trained among
other things in knowing what a corporation is, what a stock is,
since they will be sold to them, each and every one of them, part
of the training should lead them to understand the responsibility
and the commitment of this corporation and its owners to the bank,
this should be done without the use of down payments and a low interest.
These stockholders (the
hotel workers) will elect the board of directors for the corporation
with no interference, all this should be carried on under laws and
regulations previously established.
After this transaction
is accomplished it is the responsibility of the corporation and
its owners the correct functioning of the enterprise and the achieving
of the financial commitment to the bank.
Parallel to these
transactions there should exist programs and educational conferences
for general information of the people in these topics through radio,
TV, and written press.
This is one of so many ways to implement justice and a means to
create a laborious society, disciplined and responsible. Will be
one way to show that democracy will not take away anything the people
already have, on the contrary, will give rights and privileges that
are beyond imagination in the Castro regime, and the future democracy
will be armed with such a moral strength that will unveil the disguised
communist by their incompetence to the new situation and their position
of non privileges different to the ones applied to all members of
society and have to work to provide for their families, without
their corrupted souls and the breastfeeding of the regime, in job
positions now where their lucrative activities are based in stealing
and speculation, with revolutionary titles to death. These will
show up with the rights given by democracy, with their post signs
asking what is now forbidden to the people and reserved to communist
members of the elite. The only good we will inherit is all the bad
deeds they have done, that way the Cuban people will remain protected
against the different communist virus that will eventually raise
up, sometimes in the most sophisticated disguises.
The Republican Party
of Cuba proposes these privatizing measures with the believe to
be able to unmask the real terrorists and mental handicapped of
the governing communist regime and to raise a moral bar too high
for these communists to clear in the democratic future of Cuba.
